ISKCON Connecticut is a spiritual community dedicated to practicing and sharing Kṛṣṇa consciousness as taught by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, the Founder-Ācārya of the International Society for Kṛṣṇa Consciousness (ISKCON).

Following in the line of disciplic succession (guru-paramparā) from Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, our mission is to revive and spread the eternal science of Bhakti-yoga, or loving devotional service to Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Established in the spirit of “simple living and high thinking,” our community strives to uphold the four regulative principles: no meat-eating, no intoxication, no gambling, and no illicit sex. We regularly engage in kīrtana (congregational chanting of the holy names), śāstra study, Deity worship, prasādam distribution, and public outreach, all under the guiding authority of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s teachings and his original books.

Our aim is not only personal spiritual growth but also the welfare of all living beings through the distribution of transcendental knowledge, holy names, and pure vegetarian prasādam. In line with Śrīla Prabhupāda’s vision, we seek to establish a God-centered life based on the principles of the Bhagavad-gītā As It Is and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam.
